R&D Activities on Acceleration of Interworking between Terrestrial and Non-terrestrial Networks for Beyond 5G-based Society Workshop
R&D Activities on Acceleration of Interworking between Terrestrial and Non-terrestrial Networks for Beyond 5G-based Society Workshop
In the Beyond 5G (B5G)-based society, the demands of spectrum resources will increase drastically for enhanced communications and new use cases and applications like cyber-physical systems for refining smart systems of industries, communities, and individuals, in addition to D2D and IoT communications, UAV and smart mobility applications, and so on.
To meet the demands in the B5G-based society, the R&D activities becomes much important on not only spectrum efficiency improvement like in-band full duplex, dynamic spectrum sharing, flexible network optimization, but also the integration of non- terrestrial and non-public networks (i.e., private networks) to existing terrestrial and public networks.
This Workshop aims to involve discussions and technical presentations of the vision, challenges and key enabling technologies on the related networks, communications, and applications to the following topics.
- Terrestrial and Non-Terrestrial Networks
- Public and Non-Public Networks
- D2D and IoT Communications
- UAVs and Smart Mobility
- In-band Full Duplex
- Dynamic Spectrum Sharing
- Flexible Network Optimization
- Wireless Emulation
