Workshop on Open RAN technologies, Use Cases, and Testbed
Workshop on Open RAN technologies, Use Cases, and Testbed
5G public networks have become a reality, being extensively deployed and propagated in the public network space, and discussions are gradually starting about use cases on Non-Public Network or Private Networks. However, there’s a dilemma faced in terms of cost and ubiquity, and soon, more use cases will be created through the method of 5G open architecture, such as O-RAN. The open RAN architecture is an extended standard that not only offers a software-based and virtualized structure for more flexible deployment of 5G private networks but also has the chance to serve as an extension of the public network. Use cases and technologies based on open architecture will play an important role in the development of Non-Public Network . Therefore, creating a good use case and integrating relevant technologies is indispensable.
Open architecture will bring about new challenges due to its unique conditions for each scenario, and this workshop will focus on use cases of open architecture, proposing possible solutions or technologies. Researchers and engineers from the academic and industrial world are invited to submit their most recent research findings and innovations.
We are seeking original contributions that are currently not under review by any other journal/magazine/conference. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- AI applications for Open RAN.
- Novel Open RAN techniques.
- B5G and 6G techniques for Open RAN.
- Non-RT RIC schemes for Open RAN.
- Near-RT RIC schemes for Open RAN.
- New Quality of Service (QoS) metrics for Open RAN.
- Use Case in Public network by Open RAN.
- Use Case in private network by Open RAN.
- Emerging network architectures in Open RAN.
- Integration of wireless technologies including Open RAN.
- Self-organizing IoT at Open RAN Testbed.
- Management interference at SMO.
- New security concepts within Open RAN or SMO.
- Open RAN testbeds and applications.
